In this session, Bruce Henderson will recap the many significant changes in employment laws so far in 2024, and predict what to expect for the next 6 months. The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled on issues like diversity in hiring, whether forced job transfers are “material changes” and can be retaliatory, and recently overturned legal precedent on whether administrative agencies have authority to make sweeping changes in the law, like the EEOC’s pregnancy laws covering abortions, the NLRB’s “quickie election rules, OSHA’s broad “walk around rule that would allow union representatives to come on site, and the DOL’s new Overtime law, that is projected to go into effect July 1!!
