Description

The CGAT program, sponsored by the Government Finance Officers Association of Alabama, is a series of courses intended to improve the professional and fiscal skills of attendees. This training is not exclusive to GFOAA members. 

Payroll is an accounting course. Its objective is to familiarize participants with detailed accounting techniques for processing employee salaries and wages, bonuses, benefits and taxes. This course will also explain IRS rules and regulations. This course counts as a 6-hour elective course toward the Certified Governmental Accounting Technician Certificate awarded by the Government Finance Officers Association of Alabama.
