
Graphic Designer
The Graphic Designer is responsible for executing department design needs at a variety of project levels. This role involves assisting in the development of comprehensive visual marketing assets and design concepts for various events, campaigns, and promotions. The designer will produce print, electronic, and additional deliverables as determined by project plans by strategically combining typography, color, and imagery.
This position offers hands-on experience in updating ongoing publications and developing new designs for marketing and advertising purposes, all while contributing to Alabama ONE's mission of providing innovative financial solutions to our community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the marketing and digital media team to define and implement innovative and creative solutions for marketing campaigns, event collateral, promotional items, social media campaigns, etc.
- Design marketing collateral for digital, print, and physical distribution;
- Design visual content including digital assets for company website and social media channels;
- Expand on existing campaign designs while maintain brand standards;
- Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off;
- Work multiple projects concurrently and shift priorities as required to meet business requirements and deadlines;
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards;
- Support marketing & digital media team with strategy & logistics;
- Interact with stakeholders to communicate and understand design goals and consults on direction to address desired customer outcomes;
- Manage design aspects of a project from inception through completion.
- Meet or exceed all established deadlines;
- Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders;
Minimum Requirements:
-Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and open source design software such as Adobe Express and Canva.
- Successful coursework in a degree program related to graphic design, visual arts, marketing, advertising/PR or a similar field.
- Basic understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning and taking on new challenges.
- General understanding of business & marketing concepts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and/or 2-3 years experience.
