Job Title: Refrigeration, Commercial Kitchen Equipment & HVAC Technician

Location: Tuscaloosa, AL Surrounding Area

Job Summary: As an HVAC, Commercial Kitchen Equipment & Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for driving a company vehicle to customer sites to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair various commercial kitchen equipment. To succeed in this role, you must be self-sufficient, possess strong technical and troubleshooting skills, and demonstrate exceptional customer service abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspect equipment and related components for safe operation.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and branch staff regarding repair statuses, maintaining schedule adherence and addressing any delays.
  • Complete service tickets in accordance with company procedures.
  • Manage truck stock to ensure necessary parts are readily available.
  • Maintain service vehicle, tools, and uniforms to meet Tech24 standards.
  • Serve as a positive role model for less experienced technicians and promote company values.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to safety.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in commercial kitchen equipment repair.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Dependable, with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in standard computer applications.
  • Ownership of industry-standard hand tools.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of an on-call rotation (frequency varies).
  • Mechanically inclined with a desire to learn new techniques and approaches.
  • Previous experience as a commercial foodservice technician is preferred.

Salary: Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
