We are searching for an experienced Talent Development Director at our Headquarters facility in Tuscaloosa, AL.

The Talent Development Director must be relentless about meeting Westervelt's talent needs, leveraging training and development to its fullest extent and bringing skill development solutions that will create value for the different segments of the workforce.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

-Design, develop, execute, and manage a comprehensive curriculum of learning strategies that support talent development, succession   planning, and organizational growth.
-Stay current with industry trends and best practices in organizational development and bring innovative ideas and solutions that align with company values and skills critical to the organization.
-Partner with senior leaders and other stakeholders to develop succession plans to build a talent pipeline.
-Manage the performance review process utilizing the talent management system.
-Utilize metrics to assess the effectiveness of talent development efforts and diagnose organizational issues to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted interventions.
-Develop and execute change management strategies to support organizational change initiatives, including communication plans, training programs and employee engagement activities.
-Develop and manage Talent Development budget.
-Lead cultural transformation initiatives and foster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
-Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to organizational development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in organizational development, human resources, or related field; master's degree preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Managing and administering a learning management system
  • Managing and administering a performance management system
  • Experience working with diverse teams
  • At least 10 years of progressive talent development experience is preferred
  • Manufacturing operations experience is a plus
  • Experience working with a diverse portfolio of business units is preferred
  • Certified Corporate Coach preferred

The base salary range for this position is $106,300 - $170,100. The actual base salary is based on the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate.
